downtown programme.
Initially engaged by Auckland Council, Synergine supported the planning and project initiation of the Downtown Public Open Space project, before transitioning into a role to integrate programmes of work between Auckland Council, Auckland Transport and Panuku Development Auckland. This culminated in the formation of a single infrastructure programme fit for delivery before the running of the 36th America’s Cup event in Q1 2021.
Synergine provided Programme Controls Management for the $331M Downtown Infrastructure Development Programme comprising of seven major projects delivered under a single management framework. Working with the Auckland Transport Project Management Office and the Auckland Council Development Programme Office, an integrated and staged programme plan and controls structure has been developed to sequence a number of interdependencies and overlapping project areas.
The ultimate objective of the programme is to enable transformational change and deliver a world class waterfront and downtown precinct which integrates requirements for public open spaces, transport and cultural elements.
