Synergine joined with Beca, Fletcher Construction and Higgins to form an alliance with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) for the planning, design, consenting and construction of the MacKays to Peka Peka section of the Kāpiti Expressway. This was the first time an Alliance had been appointed for the planning and consenting phases of such a significant infrastructure project.
Synergine fulfilled the role of the prospective Alliance Project Manager during the pre-construction phases, responsible for heading a management team made up of representatives from seven different organisations including NZTA and the local authority. Our ability to bring together colleagues from such a diverse range of organisations and achieve agreement was critical to the Alliance’s success.
The Synergine Design team was also involved in the design and early implementation phases for utilities design, and in detailed design and construction for stormwater drainage.
