Synergine collaborated with a internationally-renowned Hong Kong based Architect on the pre-construction phases of this luxury retreat development project located in Taupō. Set on a site incorporating elements of particular cultural significance for local iwi and with panoramic views to the Great Lake Taupo and central volcanic cones, the project featured a stunning architecturally designed house, guest pavilions and caretakers’ house as well as thoughtfully landscaped grounds to enhance the natural beauty of the site and its surrounds.
During the pre-construction phases, Synergine provided project management, stakeholder management and design management services, to ensure appropriate iwi consultation and engagement and that all statutory and regulatory approvals were obtained.
Synergine’s Design team provided the architectural and landscape design expertise and services to faithfully craft an architectural form from locally available materials, incorporating sustainability principles and ensuring the project fit well within the natural beauty of its context. All necessary technical discipline inputs were also managed to ensure technically robust and buildable design solutions, fully integrated with the architectural and landscape design.
Synergine also managed the early contractor involvement (ECI) process to offer the full benefit of the construction knowledge and supply chain of the local contractors for the benefit of the project and the client.
